Who We Are

Public Works is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of County buildings, parks, roads, bridges, properties and the repair, inspection and maintenance of the County’s fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Public Works also provides light-to-heavy construction and renovations at Bradys Run, Brush Creek, Buttermilk Falls and Old Economy Parks, the Old Economy Pool, the Courthouse, the Recreation Facility, District Judges Offices, other County buildings, and the County-owned roads and bridges.

Public Works maintains a County garage and warehouse (21,000 square feet) for its operation and general storage of equipment and wares. The Waste Management Department and Alliance for Consumer Protection Office are both housed at the Department of Public Works building.
