The Prothonotary’s office contains official records of all Civil proceedings and is the largest filing office in the Beaver County Court House. As the keeper of records pertaining to all Civil cases, we create dockets for such records to ensure the information provided is accurate and available for public viewing. Some of the records on file include; Change of name, Quiet titles, Condemnations, State and Federal tax liens, Confessions of Judgments, Municipal liens, Petitions to open ballot boxes, Custody orders, Divorces, PFA’s, Bonds, District Justice appeals, appeals to Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts, Arbitrations, Complaints pertaining to auto accidents, Writs of summons, Writs of execution, Writs of possession, Writs of revival and Writs of Scire Facias.
The Prothonotary also administers the Loyalty Oath to all public employees and all naturalized citizens as required by the State Constitution.
New passport applications are accepted and sent to the Regional processing Center, we also can take the legal size 2 x 2 picture for both New and Renewal passports.
