The Ellwood City Hospital

The Ellwood City Hospital, located in southern Lawrence County, has been a part of the Ellwood City community since 1913 when a 10-bed hospital operated by one doctor opened in a private home on Crescent Avenue.

Today, the hospital has progressed to a modern complex with a newly expanded emergency room, a 46-bed medical surgical unit, a 6-bed intensive coronary unit, an eight-bed maternity unit, a 1-bed geriatric, and a 25-bed skilled nursing unit – as well as a variety of diagnostic and surgical services.
