Adult Probation FAQ

Intercounty Transfer process
When charges are received and sentenced, your supervision may be transferred to your county of residence (into or out of Beaver County). Once you have been sentenced, ask your probation officer to get the transfer process started and they will let you know if your sentencing qualifies. The transfer process all begins in the county where your charges originated.

How do I get my license back?
After an individual has successfully completed the A.R.D (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition) program and all costs, fines and restitution have been paid in full, you can begin the process by completing the dismissal/expungement packet either received by your probation officer or from the Clerk of Courts.

What is a CRN?
A CRN (Court Reporting Network) evaluation is a questionnaire that assesses an individual’s drug and/or alcohol use.  This is a standard assessment required in PA that DUI defendants must complete.  This assessment is used to determine if the individual is in need of a more in-depth evaluation and used by the court to make recommendations for the defendant.  CRN evaluations are conducted at the Beaver County Courthouse.

What is a RIP?
A RIP (Restrictive Intermediate Punishment) is a diagnostic assessment that is used with restricted probation such as electronic monitoring (house arrest).  RIP assessments are not conducted at the Beaver County Courthouse but a list of providers is available upon request.
