Protective Service
To report elder abuse or suspected abuse or neglect call, 724-775-1786.
Protective Service responds to reports of suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, abandonment, inappropriate relocation and emergency/crisis situations. A case manager investigates the report and provides any necessary intervention. PA Elder Abuse Hotline – 800- 490-8505
Ombudsman Service
The ombudsman investigates and resolves complaints made by or on behalf of residents in Nursing Homes, Personal Care Homes and Domiciliary Care Homes. Complaints may include any issue that affects the health, safety, welfare and rights of a resident. Staff and volunteers also perform visits to area facilities.

Personal Care and Home Health Services*
These services provide in-home assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and mobility for persons with chronic health problems.
Homemaker Service*
For those receiving personal care services from BCOA, shopping, laundry, light housekeeping and other services may be available when health problems prevent maintenance of household activities.
Respite Care*
Respite care service provides relief to families caring for and living with an elderly homebound person for up to four hours a week and can provide personal care if needed.
Adult Daily Living*
Provides day programs for the frail elderly with physical and/ or mental impairment. Provides respite for family caregivers. Adult Daily Living centers are open daily and provide supervision, meals, and activities. Transportation is available from the adult day care provider.

Beaver County residents age 60 years and older may utilize Beaver County Transit Authority's DART system. This is a demand and response transportation system offering door-to-door service for passengers. Reservations must be made in advance by calling BCTA. There is a co-pay for every trip. Domiciliary Care*
Placement is offered to individuals, age 18 and older, with a social, emotional or physical disability in a certified, private family home where 24-hour supervision and assistance is provided. "Dom Care" provides a supportive family-like environment for those who are unable to live independently.
Chore Service*
Chore service is a limited service available only to existing BCOA consumers. It provides assistance with minor home repairs. The consumer must pay for supplies.
Health and Wellness
This program provides community-based programs on health-related issues and is available through the Senior Community Centers. Topics are intended to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
In Home Meals*
Meals can be delivered on weekdays to persons whose illness prevents them from cooking or leaving the home.
