Collections & Community Service
Holding juveniles accountable for their behavior is a priority of Pennsylvania’s juvenile justice system. Payment of financial restitution to victims is a standard requirement for youth who are under Court supervision as a result of delinquent acts.
In addition to economic remuneration, holding youths accountable to the community at large via symbolic restitution has long been a mandate in the supervision of juveniles on probation. Virtually every juvenile over the age of 14 is required to perform community services as a condition of disposition.
