Health Choices Services
The BH-MCO will provide timely access to diagnostic, assessment, referral and treatment services for members for the following benefits:
- Inpatient psychiatric hospital services, except when provided in a state mental hospital
- Inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification
- Psychiatric partial hospitalization services
- Inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation
- Non-hospital residential detoxification, rehabilitation and half-way house services for drug/alcohol abuse or dependence
- Psychiatric outpatient clinic, licensed psychologist and psychiatrist services
- Intensive
Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) for children and adolescents with psychiatric, substance abuse or mental retardation disorders
- Residential treatment services for children and adolescents (JCAHO accredited and non-JCAHO)
- Outpatient D&A services, including Intensive Outpatient and Methadone Maintenance Clinic
- Methadone when used to treat narcotic/opioid dependency and dispensed by an in-plan drug and alcohol services provider
- Laboratory studies ordered by behavioral health physicians and clozapine support services
- Crisis intervention services with in-home capability
- Family-based mental health services for children and adolescents
- Targeted mental health case management (blended case management)
- Certified Peer Specialist
Other services available to eligible Beaver County members called supplemental services are:
- Psychiatric rehabilitation, site-based
- Psychiatric rehabilitation, mobile
- Community treatment teams
- Long-term structured residential
- Base Service Unit diagnostic assessment
- Drug & Alcohol intensive case management
- Single County Authority service plan assessment
- Re-entry Liaison
Various providers in the community provide a core group of services, called In-Plan Services. Beacon
Health Options of PA is the Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization that assures these services are available to members in Beaver County.
