Health Choices
In 1999 Beaver County entered into a contract with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide behavioral health services to residents of the county who are eligible for Medical Assistance benefits. The county contracts with a Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization (BHMCO) to assist in the provision and oversight of these services. The goals of the program are to improve the accessibility, continuity and quality of services and ensure they are delivered in a cost-effective manner. It is recognized that the coordination of services is critical when providing care for individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use concerns. Coordination with other systems has been enhanced to better serve members and their families in Beaver County.
Carelon Health of Pennsylvania currently holds the contract for these services. Please visit their website at pa.carelon.com or call their member services line at 877-688-5970 for more information
